Ongata Rongai, Kenya: Police in Ongata Rongai have arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly strangled his girlfriend to death in Olekasasi area, Kajiado County.
Police reports indicate that the suspect, who was identified as Vincent Ombiro, is a night watchman within the area and had been living with his girlfriend, Carolyne Munea, who is a bar attendant.
It is alleged that the two had a dispute at midnight in their single roomed house in Olekaksasi before the girlfriend raised an alarm which attracted the neighbours who responded.
“Members of the public and neighbours responded to the alarm but upon arrival, they found the woman had already died,” Sang told The Standard.
