Taita Taveta Senator Johnes Mwaruma has joined efforts to ensure boundary disputes with neighbouring counties are peacefully resolved.
He said he held talks with senators of both Makueni and Kwale counties where they agreed to ensure the matter is dealt with to the satisfaction of residents of the three counties.
Mwaruma who was addressing MCAs on Friday said governor Granton Samboja has also engaged the Council of Elders from Makueni and Kwale to help resolve the matter.
"I am looking forward to see the disputes resolved before the next election. I am calling upon our county assemblies, county executives and all other stakeholders to work together and ensure we are not fighting over this issue," said Mwaruma.

He added: "We are committed to ensure none of our counties will lose an inch of their land."
Recently, a fresh boundary row erupted at the disputed Mackinnon Road Township after unknown people pulled down a sign post belonging to Mbele Primary School said to be within the boundaries of Taita-Taveta.
However, the title deed of the land on which the school sits was issued in Kwale. Both counties have laid claim on the town situated along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
