Kwale, Kenya: Kwale County Commissioner Evans Achoki has threatened to burn more than 4,300 uncollected identity cards lying at various registries.
In a phone interview with The Standard yesterday morning, Achoki said it was surprising residents continued complaining over slow issuance of identity cards yet they had not collected the documents.
Efforts to address this at public gatherings are also yet to bear any fruits. Achoki has now given an ultimatum of 15 days for the documents to be collected.
