Ol Kalou, Kenya: There was drama in Ol Kalou town Thursday after a former Ol Kalou town council chairman Mwangi Nyagah chained himself on top of Governor Daniel Waithaka's office.
Mwangi was protesting against alleged failure by Nyandarua the county Government to settle hospital bill for a quarry worker.
John Ruchata is admitted to Nakuru Heart Center where his bill allegedly accumulated to Sh 740,000.
The former chairman, who was sacked as the Governor's legal advisor last year, alleged that the county Government had pledged to pay Sh100,000, which was not forthcoming.
"That is why I decided to chain myself here for the governor and his staff to act. The man has now started having blood pressure and we fear that he might die if he does not get the money. It is now time that we act before it is too late," he said in protest.

Efforts by county staff including the CEC in charge of Finance Nderi Ndiani to plead with him to unchain himself failed as he insisted that the money must be raised first.
Police officers pleaded with him for three hours in vain and were forced to cut the chain and force Mwangi out of the premise.
While addressing the crowd that had gathered at the scene, the former town council chairman called on people of good will to join hands and raise the money.
The officer in charge of finance Mr Ndiani promised that the county government will look into the matter.
