Senior AP officer arrested for allegedly defiling two minors in Kinangop

Kinangop, Kenya: Police in Kinangop have arrested a senior Administration Police officer (AP) for allegedly defiling two minors aged below 12 years.

The officer, who is attached to the Engineer sub-county offices, was nabbed after the mother of the minors intercepted an SMS between him and the girls.

According to a source, the officer had allegedly been sleeping with the minors for over a month before the short text message was intercepted.

The source added that the officer would lure the girls into his house using goodies before sexually abusing them.

"The minors have recorded statement with the police in which they narrated how they have been sleeping with the officer for over a month," said the source.

The suspect is reported to have first lured the 12-year-old girl before using her to get her 10-year-old sister, whom he also slept with.

"The minors used the mothers mobile to send a message to the officer and this is how the matter came to light," said the witness.

Nyandarua South OCPD Samson Munyao confirmed the arrest and said the suspect would be arraigned in court to face various charges.

Munyao added that they had confiscated all the mobile phones used to send messages between the minors and the suspect.
