VIDEO: Kisii MP caught on camera fiercely assaulting man at restaurant in broad daylight

CCTV footage from a Kisii restaurant captured the moment a Kisii MP viciously attacked a man in broad daylight, raining kicks and blows on him.

The video shows the MP walking into the premises and charging directly at a man seated in a corner, now identified as Enock Omariba.

Dressed in jungle-green pants, a black jacket and a face mask, the MP can be seen pointing and hurling words at Omariba, who responds moments before the confrontation explodes.

In an instant, the two grab each other by the neck, tumbling across the restaurant in a violent struggle.

A diner seated next to Omariba, quietly reading a newspaper, is caught in the chaos and is slapped by the MP after trying to intervene.

Moments later, restaurant staff rush in to separate the pair and eventually succeed, after which the MP storms out, leaving Omariba shaken.

His wristwatch hangs loosely—dislodged during the scuffle.

The cause of the clash remains unclear, though Omariba told a local station that it stemmed from an alleged love triangle.

“He came shouting directly at me, saying ‘lazima itaniheshimu,’ claiming that I was having an affair with one of his girlfriends,” he told Citizen TV.

“He was accompanied by his bodyguard and another person. We reported the matter to Kisii Central Police Station.”

The incident adds to the growing scrutiny surrounding Kisii lawmakers amid intensifying political tensions.

Days earlier, chaos erupted at a burial when Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi and his Kitutu Chache North counterpart Japheth Nyakundi engaged in a fistfight over political differences.

Trouble began when Kibagendi, holding the microphone, launched a verbal attack on President William Ruto, accusing him of dishonesty.

“We were hoodwinked as a community and as a nation to elect a President who is a liar,” he said—prompting Nyakundi to grab the microphone and attempt to eject him from the dais. The confrontation quickly turned physical as police and VIP security struggled to intervene.

The burial was attended by MPs Silvanus Osoro and Dorice Donya, and Senators Richard Onyanka and Okongo Omogeni.

Kibagendi is no stranger to controversy.

Just months earlier, he clashed dramatically with Health CS Aden Duale during a National Assembly Health Committee meeting on October 14. What began as a routine briefing descended into a shouting match that forced Chair James Nyikal to repeatedly intervene as tempers flared.

Duale accused Kibagendi of a conflict of interest, prompting the MP to demand proof and fire back with allegations of corruption and intimidation. Nyikal eventually ordered Kibagendi out, but as he left, the furious MP continued hurling insults.

“You are a thief. You are stealing from people; who are you? You think you can intimidate us?” he shouted at Duale while exiting.
