Colombia forward Luis Muriel's second-half goal secured a convincing 1-0 away victory over Olunga’s Girona FC as Sevilla moved two points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Muriel drove a left-footed shot past Girona FC goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz in the 69th minute.
Kenyan international striker Michael Olunga who joined Girona FC this summer from Chinese side Guizhou Zhicheng entered the match in the 80th replacing Cristian Manzanera, commonly known as Portu.
Girona FC had an opportunity to secure a point but Alex Granell saw his penalty hitting the crossbar and Sevilla clung on to claim their third successive league win.
