A centre to support innovation will be established at the Meru University of Science and Technology (Must) to serve as an incubation facility for scientific and business ideas.
Making the announcement at Kaaga Girls High School during the National Science and Engineering Fair, Must Deputy Vice Chancellor Gitonga Nkanata said the new centre would help students with various science projects to improve them.
"The new centre will serve as a link between students and already established companies that require their innovations," Prof Nkanata said.
During the fair, various innovative projects by schools from different parts of the country were exhibited, with the best projects winning trophies and cash prizes.
