Meru, Kenya: A member of Meru County Assembly died yesterday in a road accident at the Subuiga blackspot on the Meru-Nanyuki highway.
Abednego Mutembei Miitine, popularly known as “Kastarehe” of Maua Ward, was on his way from a meeting in Nanyuki when he lost control of his vehicle.
Buuri OCPD John Ngare said the MCA was rushed to the nearby Kiirua Mission Hospital by Good Samaritans but died minutes later.
The Speaker Joseph Kaberia has expressed his shock on learning of the accident as he recalled their meeting earlier.
