The initial death toll was six, but four people succumbed to their injuries in hospital. At least 11 people were seriously injured and are admitted at various private hospitals in Isiolo County and neighbouring Meru County.
It is feared the death toll could rise because they could not ascertain the fate of those admitted in private hospitals in Meru.
The driver of the truck miraculously escaped without any injuries.
The accident that occurred around 7.30 pm on Thursday caused a heavy traffic on the busy highway.
