Singer Savara is Kenya’s representative behind the official CHAN (African Nations Championship) anthem, a continental collaboration that brings together Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in one electrifying musical project.
Taking to social media, Savara shared his excitement after meeting and vibing with the Harambee Stars, Kenya’s national football team.
“Honored to meet and vibe with the national team @harambee stars and present to them the official CHAN ANTHEM dropping soon,” he wrote on his socials.
A photo shows him at the stadium surrounded by jubilant players and officials, all smiles as they pose together on the pitch.
The anthem, according to Savara, blends Isukuti and Chakacha with Ugandan folk rhythms, creating a sonic experience that is proudly African yet universally uplifting.
“This is a season of WINNING. Let’s all come and celebrate the beautiful game PAMOJA,” Savara declared in his tweet.
At the heart of the song’s powerful lyrics are acclaimed artistes and songwriters Delvin Savara Mudigi, Sarah Michael Kitinga (Phina) and Elijah Kitaka.
Production duties were handled by an elite team: Savara, Humphrey Ngonidzaishe Domboka, Joseck M. Asikoye, and the legendary Anyore Roots Band, whose rich, organic sound gives the anthem its soulful edge.
From recording to the final polish, the track’s engineering spanning recording, mixing, and mastering was seamlessly executed by Savara, Domboka, and Asikoye, ensuring every note hits with precision and power.
And to bring the anthem to life visually, Protel Studios stepped in to create stunning visuals that match the track’s emotional intensity, completing the anthem’s transformation into a full sensory experience.
