NAIROBI, KENYA: President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday met Jack Ma, the founder and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group.
Soon after the meeting, the president posted “Met Jack Ma, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group. Our discussion revolved around youth empowerment through entrepreneurship.”
With President at the meeting was Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, UNCTAD
Local dailies earlier reported that Ma came with an entourage including Internet tycoon Bob Xu, Alibaba’s founding partner Lucy Peng, founder and chairman of Mengniu Dairy Niu Gensheng and real estate tycoon Huang Youlong.

Jack Ma is expected to address business community and students at the University of Nairobi Thursday afternoon. The entrepreneur jetted in the country on Wednesday and is expected to offer tips on how to build successful business.
