A Philippines based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) will make its foray into the country, with an eye on the increasing number of multinationals.
With massive investment in information and communication technology, Adec Group will start operations in Athi River in November, the group’s first office in Africa.
One key area the company is betting on is data storage and document management, targeting a wide range of sectors, such as manufacturing, finance and energy.
“We will do business mapping to ascertain the current process and the new process to understand the existing gaps. By offering our services, this can lead to cost saving and improve business efficiency,” said Adec Group’s Anthony Catajan. “This will see companies save up to 30 per cent of their operational costs,” said Catajan, the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer in Asia.
By outsourcing, companies can focus on their core business for increased efficiency and profitability. One such area that will come in handy is the usage of data to inform industry players on areas for improvement.
Consequently, firms will be able to reduce electricity bills, carbon emissions and save the environment. “Besides, companies can rely on the data to make key decisions touching on expenditure,” Catajan said yesterday in Nairobi.
Land pollution
In mining, the company can analyse noise, air and land pollution to help in assessing the impact of any project on the environment for the concerned parties to make the necessary steps to reduce the pollution.
Financial institutions can also leverage the data to provide information on an individual’s financial eligibility before borrowing. “For credit cards, outsourcing enables companies to reconcile their data on withdrawals and deposits,” he said.
