Former President Moi has said women interested in politics should be ready to compete with their male counterparts.
Moi said it’s wrong for the Government to create special seats for women at the time their international counterparts are competing with men to get into political offices.
"The creation of these special seats is unnecessary because women are the same as men and they can fight for the available political positions," Moi reiterated.
The former Head of State, who was speaking during a graduation ceremony at Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology in Nakuru, also urged leaders to embrace nationalism by rejecting tribal leadership.
On matters of education, Moi urged the Government to establish a plan to increase middle level technical colleges in all regions.
The middle level institutions, he added would absorb the high number of youths finishing primary and secondary school but are unable to proceed to universities.
Moi challenged those handling education reforms to address the issue urgently warning that the matter would run out of control if proper measures are not put in place.
