Officers from the disaster department and volunteers are searching for a five-year-old boy who has drowned at River Ndarugu, Nakuru Town West.
Kapkures Location Chief Rashid Abdala has said the minor drowned at around noon while playing with other children at their homestead.
The homestead is located adjacent to the river that has flooded.
"We quickly mobilised locals after receiving information on the drowning case. Search efforts are on," the chief has said.
