Tension remains high in Enoororet-Enoorsoen border in Trans Mara West, Narok County, following renewed border clashes on Sunday evening.
Fresh fighting between the Siria and Ruasi Ngishu clans erupted at the weekend leaving ten people nursing injuries at a local hospital.
According to authorities, one of the groups living in the area was incensed by the presence of security personnel deployed to guard the owner as he was tilling the land in the disputed border.
“They armed themselves with bows and arrows and engaged the other group in a fight in the better part of Sunday evening,” said a junior officer who did not want to be named.
Standard digital has learnt that at least ten people were injured and are recuperating in the hospital.
Government officials have moved to the troubled area to quell the violence.
Last month, more than 15 people suffered arrow wounds, with three more sustaining gunshot wounds in fighting for the same piece of land.
