I am having a love affair with Middle Eastern food. I'd say I don't know what's come over me but after experiencing all the goodness that is delicious Lebanese cuisine at Tambourin, a rooftop Lounge and Restaurant at Villa Rosa Kempinski, it's become an obsession I can't stop.

The food of the Middle East is, like the region itself - a complex network of interweaving cultures.

From the fried sea bass served with seasoned fries, hummus, fattoush salad and pita bread, stuffed with fried meatball-sized chickpea puree nuggets and dressed with tomato, radish, tahini and a spicy turnip pickle, to the fattoush salad boasting of cucumbers, lettuce, mint, cilantro, tomatoes, herbs and drizzled with lemon oil vinegar sauce; I kept thinking...this is what Lebanese food really tastes like…
