The government did not violate valuation procedures when buying land to set up a county referral hospital, a court has heard.

A valuer, Francis Njagi, told an Eldoret court that he was invited to assess the four and half acres valued at Sh165 million and advised the county government accordingly.

He was testifying in a case where the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has sued 12 county officials, including then County Secretary Fredrick Sifuna and finance executive Kennedy Mukhwana, for flouting the law when acquiring the property last year.
