The plane came down shortly after taking off from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has wished quick recovery to three journalists injured in Kibera plane crash as they were going to cover a NASA campaign in Baringo.

“On behalf of the National Super Alliance and myself, I extend deep sympathy, best wishes and prayers for quick recovery to the journalists from the Royal Media Services who sustained injuries today when their plane crashed shortly after taking off to Baringo from Nairobi,” said Raila in a statement.

Mauritius Oduor, Sam Ogina from Citizen TV and Joseph Njane from Radio Citizen were on their way to cover the NASA rallies in Baringo when their plane crashed.

“This tragedy reminds us of the sacrifices journalists face daily in their quest to keep our citizens informed, an effort we sometimes take for granted until an incident like today’s happens,” he said.

“It is my hope and prayer that we will see Oduor, Ogina and Njane back on the campaign trail before Election Day,” said the NASA presidential candidate while thanking God saving their lives.
