West Ham are involved in an investigation by British authorities into alleged tax fraud in football.
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) confirmed that "several" people were arrested and a number of premises searched during an operation involving 180 officers yesterday.
Investigators were deployed in the north east and south east of England.
