Premier League midfielder Jack Colback has been charged with breach of regulations introduced in 2014 which prevent players and coaches from placing bets on any football activity.

Jack Colback has been slapped with a £25,000 fine for breaking the betting rules.

Sunsport revealed in May how the Newcastle midfielder was being probed by the FA over gambling.

Colback, 27, was today handed out his punishment after accepting a misconduct charge.

FA laws introduced in 2014 forbid players and coaches from betting on any footballing activity worldwide.
