Huawei has announced a 10 per cent discount on some of its devices retailing at Safaricom shops countrywide.

Some of the devices that will be selling at discounted rates for the next two weeks include Huawei GR3, Mate 8, P9, Y3II and Y360, among others.

Bob Wang Tie, Senior Director at Huawei said the company was keen on ensuring more customers access smartphones and will be offering competitive prices in the market. “Huawei’s main core value is putting the customers at the apex of everything we do as a business, which translates to ensuring Safaricom gets the best state-of-the-art equipment and software, services, quick deployment time and operational flexibility,” he said.

Wang noted the two companies will continue to strengthen their existing partnership by innovating more on devices and networks respectively to be able to address consumer challenges at the market place. Huawei and Safaricom boost of modernising the 2G, 3G, transmission, core network and billing (CBS) systems. Huawei has also helped Safaricom establish an M-Pesa platform and are currently rolling out a 4G Network.
