A section of Wiper MPs have warned against the demonstrations called by Cord saying they can destabilize the country.

The MPs among them Regina Ndambuki (Kilome), John Munuve (Mwingi North), Richard Makenga (Kaiti), Joe Mutambu (Mwingi central) and Kisoi Munyao (Mbooni) and Machakos governor Alfred Mutua who accompanied president Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday as he ended his three day tour in Ukamnabi said they would support the president and his government in order to reap benefits for the kamba community.

Mr Mutambu said the Kamba community held the decisive vote and urged the president to initiate more development projects in the region to win the people's support.

"If you address the water problem in Ukambani, you will win big here," Mutambu said at Nuu market.

The MP advised Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join Jubilee and sensationally claimed that even if he was to be the Cord flag bearer, he could not win the presidency.

"Why would you vote for your own who will lose anyway?" posed Mutambu.

Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao said the MPs will support the jubilee government without fear and cautioned Cord against playing games over the IEBC issue.

"They should be genuine over their demands," he said.

Senator Mike Sonko said the Kamba community should not accept to be used as rubber stamps to advance a few politicians interests.

Sonko who addressed Nuu residents in a fledgling Kikamba said the Jubilee government was out to liberate the community from poverty and high rate of unemployment. He said his Sonko Rescue team will be deployed in Ukambani.

Other MPs present were Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), Mutava Musyimi (Mbeere South), Itwiku Mbai (Masinga), Francis Mwangangi (Yatta) Maendeleo ya Wanawake Chairlady Rahab Muiu, Green Africa Foundation chairman Isaac Kalua among other local leaders.
