Livestock Assistant Minister Dadho Godhana has been arrested over Tana River clashes that have left 116 people dead in the last one month.
Godhana who is also the Galole MP was arrested over comments he made concerning security in the Tana Delta and is expected to appear in court later Wednesday
Godhana allegedly called for the removal of Defence Minister Yusuf Haji from the Internal Security docket failure to which there would be no peace in Tana River.
Last week, Godhana recorded a statement with the Criminal Investigations Department over the violence in Tana.
He was summoned by the CID after Haji had been questioned over the clashes.
After being questions,Haji also be investigated over the deaths saying the clashes pitting Pokomo and Orma communities in the area are political.
