The unitary form of government will put power at the centre. This, as it has been in the past, will foster corruption. Let’s make the centre less attractive and bring power to the people because that’s where it belongs.
{Rando Raphael, Kenya}
This kind of government consists of greedy politicians thirsty for power and corrupt. Kenya should reject it in all ways.
{Caroline Mwikali, Kenya }
PNU is right this time round. Some people have misunderstood their stand.
It does not claim Kenyans don’t want a prime minister, what the party is saying is that Kenyans want to elect whoever will be vested with executive authority, regardless of the name, be it president or prime minister.
{Matthias Wambua , Kenya}
Parliamentary system is the best for Kenya. We have been using the presidential system but it has failed. The president assumes so much power and cannot be questioned by anybody even MPs.
Kenyans are wasted as their votes are rigged. The small tribes will never lead this county because Kenyans vote along tribal lines, and will not change soon.
{Birgen Kiprop, Kenya}
We are tired of propaganda. Unitary government is our main recipe for tribalism, impunity and corruption because those in the Government tend to abuse it for their benefit.
{Victor Migayi, Kenya}
I do not support a unitary system. This is what caused post-election violence as most people believe the community from which the president comes from benefits more than others. Power should be devolved. {Magero Gumo, Kenya }
We want one person to be accountable and to represent the country. This is what has worked for us from the time of Jomo Kenyatta.
So long as the electoral body is transparent and free of manipulation, a presidential system of government is what the majority want. {Karenge Gacuuru, Kenya }
The paralysis so observed in Government is counter-productive. We need a government that is centralised for effective service delivery. The world is moving towards unitary and centralised governance systems, why not us?
{Eddie Ngatia, Kenya}
