A woman is accusing anti-terrorism police officers of holding her and her 20-day-old baby in a police cell for two nights.
Ms Najma Shariff said she was arrested alongside a terror suspect, who has since disappeared.
"I was moved from Anti-Terrorism Police Unit headquarters to Embakasi with my two children aged two years and 20 days," she said.
She said this in a case in which the court has been asked to compel the police commissioner to produce Mr Ahmed Abdulahi.
Yesterday, Najma positively identified two policemen whom she claimed were part of the team that raided her house in Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate on August 30. She told the court that 10 armed officers raided the house and arrested her and the suspect.
She produced the suspect’s passport in court, saying he is a Kenyan. She added she has not seen him since they were arrested on July 29.
