Renowned evangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri has declared that she envisions a future in which Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino ascends to the presidency.
In a viral social media clip, Evangelist Ngunjiri shared this prediction during a graduation ceremony at Milestone Institute of Professional Studies, where the legislator served as the chief guest.
Terming it a prophecy, she said amid applause from the crowd, “Our chief guest, I call him Daktari Mheshimiwa Babu Owino. He is not only the Embakasi East Member of Parliament but also the future President of Kenya. For those who know, we know.”
The Prayers Beyond Boundaries (PBB) Ministries evangelist praised Babu Owino for making time in his demanding schedule to participate in the Sunday service, suggesting that Babu is only a minor strategic step away from attaining the presidency.
“You only need to do a few adjustments and listen to my prayer, and you will be the President of this nation,” she said.
Furthermore, Ev. Lucy instructed Babu Owino to remember the prophecy once it comes to fruition.
“According to me, you are the future President of this nation, and when you get there, remember there was an evangelist in Kenya who was beyond boundaries. Who prophesied for you in Jesus’ name,” she asserted.
The Embakasi East MP has previously expressed his ambition to run for president in 2032.
Nonetheless, his immediate focus remains on the Nairobi gubernatorial race in 2027.
Notably, several public figures have voiced support for Babu Owino should he pursue the presidency.
Earlier this year, show host Oga Obinna declared, “I'm going to campaign for Babu Owino for free for the 2027 presidential seat.”
Following the popular cleric’s pronouncement, Kenyans on social media shared a variety of reactions.
Cynerial wrote on Instagram, “We all know he will.”
Dama Tero added, “With or without prophecy, Babu will be the Kenyan President in future!! I am a staunch Christian, but I find it unnecessary for this prophetess to start using the chance to ask Babu not to forget her when he gets there!! Msinipige mawe though.”
