‎Eric Omondi, working with her mother Alice Waruiru, helped locate her and arrange professional inpatient care.
‎
‎The treatment was first described as a 90-day programme. However, by day 40, Eric announced that Georgina was ready to return home, saying she had been given Monday or Tuesday as possible discharge dates.
‎‎
‎The cost of Georgina’s treatment was reportedly fully waived by Chiromo Hospital Group after intervention from its leadership, including CEO Dr Hongo and Professor Frank Njenga. ‎
‎This meant her family did not have to carry the financial burden of her rehabilitation.
‎‎
‎Eric’s Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative also helped mobilise public support and resources for her admission and treatment.‎
‎
‎Georgina’s stay was not easy. On day 15, she described it as difficult, writing: “May the goodness of God follow regardless, my stay here is terrible.”
‎
‎She also said she wanted to go home, explaining that a three-month stay felt long. She spoke about facing what she called “spiritual battles” during that period.
‎
‎By the 40-day mark, however, Georgina appeared more cheerful and hopeful. In a video shared by Eric, she smiled when he told her, “You’re glowing,” and thanked him.
