Abu Dhabi-based property developer Reportage Group is considering expanding its investment in Kenya, with its senior leadership assessing potential sites for new developments as construction progresses on its existing Nairobi projects.

The company's Group Managing Director, Andrea Nucera, recently led a delegation of senior executives on a tour of its three Nairobi developments, DG JKIA, DG West and Enzo Residence, to assess their progress and review opportunities for further investment.

The three projects comprise 819 residential and hotel apartments with a combined development value of more than Sh6 billion. While DG JKIA and DG West are still under construction, Enzo Residence was launched in August this year.

The latest developments signal the group's intention to deepen its presence in Kenya, where it has established a portfolio spanning different segments of the property market, including residential housing and hotel apartments.

Located along Mombasa Road, DG JKIA comprises 273 hotel apartments targeting demand around Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Standard Gauge Railway corridor. The developer says more than 90 per cent of the units have been sold, with completion expected in June 2027.

Its second hotel apartment project, DG West, is situated along Sports Road in Westlands and comprises 200 units.

The third development, Enzo Residence, is located in Riverside and has 346 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

Speaking during the visit, Nucera said the group's experience in Kenya had strengthened its interest in the market, adding that it was assessing opportunities to undertake additional projects.

"Kenya is an important market for Reportage Group, and our experience here reinforces our confidence in its long-term potential," he said.

He added that the company was looking at ways to incorporate technology and more sustainable construction practices into its developments, particularly in improving efficiency, resource management and the long-term performance of its properties.

The potential expansion comes as Kenya's property market continues to attract interest from developers, although demand and performance vary across different segments.

According to Knight Frank's Kenya Market Update for the first half of 2026, international passenger arrivals through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Moi International Airport rose by 13.1 per cent to 506,622 in the first quarter of 2026, compared with the corresponding period last year.

The report also recorded a 6.2 per cent increase in prime residential sale prices in the first half of 2026 compared with December 2025, attributing the performance to sustained demand amid limited supply of quality prime housing.

The company's Kenyan investment plans form part of a broader African expansion strategy. Its recent leadership tour also covered South Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Angola and Rwanda.

In Angola, the group launched Reportage Bay, part of a wider development programme comprising two residential communities within Dubai Investments Park Angola. The projects have an estimated combined investment of about $500 million.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Reportage Group operates in 25 countries, with a portfolio spanning the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The privately owned developer says its portfolio is valued at more than $17.7 billion and includes over 122 launched projects comprising 51,000 residential units. It reported sales of $2.6 billion in 2025, representing a 90 per cent increase from the previous year.
