Gospel singer Ninah Mpendwa has expressed disappointment after a social media user questioned her baby’s paternity and accused her of attempting to trap her husband, Mesh Mpendwa, of the gospel duo Wapendwa Muziki.

Ninah took to social media to seek help from her followers in responding to the unsolicited remarks, which questioned whether Mesh was the biological father of their son.

“Nisaidieni kujibu huyu juu nimesoma nikachoka tu,” she wrote.

The fan had demanded DNA results, suggesting that Ninah could have deceived her husband about the child’s paternity.

“DNA test results please, atkuamini wewe kwanza venye uliangaika kupata mtoto. Mmmmh tutajuaje kama uliamua kucheza meshi,” the user wrote.

The remarks appeared to link the couple’s prolonged struggle to conceive with doubts about their child’s paternity, prompting Ninah to express frustration over the insinuations.

Ninah and Mesh have previously spoken openly about the emotional challenges they experienced while trying to become parents.

The couple, who dated for a long time endured a prolonged wait for a child, a journey that exposed them to hurtful comments from social media users.

Ninah previously recalled being mocked because of her petite body frame, with some people questioning whether she could carry a pregnancy.

Mesh, on his part, disclosed that fertility complications in his family had made him worry about his own ability to have children.

The couple eventually announced their pregnancy in 2025, describing it as a significant milestone in their marriage after years of waiting.

In February 2026, the couple recounted the emotional toll of online bullying during an interview on TV, discussing how criticism over their childlessness had affected them.

Ninah also previously revealed that she experienced complications during delivery, explaining that their son became stuck during labour and doctors performed a Caesarean section.

She further disclosed that a large fibroid was removed during the procedure.
