Kenyan street model Abbie Njasi, popularly known as Ms Njasi, is set to attempt a Guinness World Records title for the Longest Marathon Modeling on a Catwalk.
The officially approved attempt will begin on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Karen Village along Ngong Road in Nairobi.
Entry to the event will be free, allowing members of the public to attend, support the model and witness the endurance challenge.
Njasi plans to remain on the catwalk for 24 continuous hours. During the attempt, she is expected to keep walking while following the rules and conditions set for the record category.
Organisers and witnesses will be required to monitor the challenge and document her progress before it can be considered for official recognition.
The event is being presented as more than a fashion challenge. It is also a personal story of courage, determination and healing.
Reports about the attempt say Njasi was inspired by grief and difficult experiences in her life.
She hopes to use the challenge to encourage other people to keep pursuing their dreams despite setbacks.
