Eve Mungai has responded to online speculation about her financial status, dismissing claims that she is struggling after becoming less active in content creation.

Eve, who built her brand through celebrity interviews and viral YouTube content, said she is neither broke nor seeking sympathy from the public.

The speculation intensified after Eve promoted a smartphone business during a public event, where she asked Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, to help publicise the brand.

Instead, Jalang'o encouraged her to return to content creation, noting that it is what many of her fans know her for.

Addressing the rumours through a series of Instagram Stories, Eve said many people had wrongly assumed she was facing financial hardship simply because she had reduced the amount of content she produces.

She also questioned why so many people were concerned about her finances, stressing that taking a step back from the spotlight does not mean she is struggling.

Responding to suggestions by some netizens to organise a fundraiser for her, Eve dismissed the idea, saying, "Wacha kila mtu afanye chenye anataka (Let everyone do what they want.)"

Eve explained that she has deliberately diversified her career by focusing on business and other income streams instead of depending entirely on content creation. Reflecting on her personal growth, she noted that she entered the industry at a young age and has evolved over the past six years.

"It's crazy to expect someone to be the same person they were 6 years ago when they were just 20 years," she said.

This comes after fellow digital content creator Liz Jackson defended Eve Mungai amid mounting online criticism about her career moves and new business venture.

Liz, who described Eve as a close friend, defending that the influencer is doing better financially now than in previous years, noting Eve runs several businesses and does not need to publicise every enterprise.
