Prominent businessman Jimal Rohosafi has proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Wangari Thiong’o, during a romantic getaway to Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Before the engagement, Jimal gave his long-time girlfriend, Wangari Thiong'o, an unforgettable experience with a romantic getaway to the breathtaking Victoria Falls in Zambia, where he popped the question.

Jimal planned the surprise proposal after treating Wangari to a scenic helicopter ride over the iconic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

It began with a scenic helicopter ride that offered panoramic views of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

After taking in the spectacular scenery from the air, the couple made their way to a picturesque hill overlooking the cascading falls.

It was there that Jimal went down on one knee and asked Wangari to marry him, creating a heartfelt moment against one of Africa's most iconic landscapes.

The businessman shared the special occasion with his followers on Tuesday, July 28, through a video posted on his official Instagram page.

The clip captured Wangari's emotional reaction as she accepted the engagement ring before the two embraced in celebration.

Accompanying the video, Jimal wrote, "Forever yours and you mine, my love," officially confirming that the couple is now engaged.

The proposal marks a significant chapter in the couple's love story, which first attracted public attention in 2022 following Jimal's separation from his former wife.

Although they initially chose to keep their relationship away from the spotlight, they later went public, frequently sharing affectionate photos, family moments and holiday memories with their followers on social media.

Their relationship continued to blossom, and in 2023 they welcomed their first child together, a milestone that further strengthened their bond.

Over the years, Jimal has openly expressed his admiration for Wangari, often referring to her as his life partner.

Grand, nature-centric proposals have long captured the public’s imagination in Kenyan pop culture.

About 11 years ago, lifestyle blogger Sharon Mundia ("This Is Ess") broke the internet with a grand romantic gesture.

Her then-partner, Lonina Leteipan, swept her away in a surprise helicopter ride to the pristine banks of Lake Michaelson on Mount Kenya, where he popped the question.

The breathtaking aerial photos and blog post detailing the moment went so viral that they famously crashed her website within hours.

However, following a lavish 2016 wedding in Watamu and the birth of their daughter, rumours of a split surfaced in late 2017.

Sharon later confirmed that the marriage had ended, stepping back from social media for over a year to heal and navigate the personal transition away from the spotlight.
