Mike Sonko's adopted daughter, Janet Kaingi, popularly known as Janetta, has officially tied the knot with her fiancé, Elvis Kintu, in a glamorous white wedding ceremony held at Limuru Gardens on Tuesday, July 14.

The lavish outdoor celebration came just weeks after the couple held their traditional dowry ceremony, marking another milestone in their journey together.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Limuru Gardens, the wedding featured elegant white décor, fresh floral arrangements and a luxurious ambience that complemented the joyous occasion.

Family members and guests arrived in stylish outfits befitting the grand celebration.

The bride looked radiant in a figure-hugging white gown with delicate lace detailing and long sleeves, completing her bridal look with a bright smile throughout the ceremony.

The groom wore a black tuxedo paired with an ornate gold-patterned jacket, a black bow tie and black-and-white dress shoes.

Sonko turned heads in a vibrant turquoise and gold traditional outfit, complete with a matching cap and walking stick, while his wife, Primrose, wore a floor-length black gown embellished with intricate gold patterns.

One family portrait showed the newlyweds posing alongside Sonko and another guest.

The celebration also saw the Sonko family arrive in a convoy of luxury vehicles, including Range Rovers, BMWs and Mercedes-Benz G63s.

Sonko's daughter Sandra also drew attention with her elegant outfit, adding to the glamour of the day.

Hours after the ceremony, Sonko shared an emotional message on Facebook as he reflected on watching his daughter begin a new chapter.

"My wife Primrose and I were deeply emotional. The joy of seeing her happy was mixed with the realisation that our home will never feel quite the same without her."

He encouraged Janet to uphold the values of kindness, humility and faith as she embarks on married life.

Addressing Elvis, Sonko warmly welcomed him into the family.

"From today, you are not just our son-in-law, you are our son. Take good care of Janet, love her, protect her, and always treat her with respect."

Sonko also urged the newlyweds to prioritise communication in their marriage, encouraging them to resolve disagreements through honest conversation rather than conflict.
