Cassie Ventura has confirmed in court filings that she now lives outside the United States and does not intend to return permanently.
According to TMZ, the singer and model disclosed an ongoing legal dispute involving male escort Clayton Howard, years after reaching a multimillion-dollar settlement with her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, over abuse allegations.
In a declaration dated May 1, 2026, Cassie stated, “I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States.”
The filing was submitted in connection with a lawsuit Howard filed in California against both Cassie and Diddy.
Cassie confirmed she remains a U.S. citizen but is no longer a resident of California.
While her current location was not disclosed, the statement marks a shift from last year when she was based in New York and expecting a child while testifying in Diddy’s federal criminal trial.
TMZ reported she also argued that it would be more practical to attend proceedings in New York rather than California, where her legal team is based.
The case stems from allegations by Howard, who claims he was hired by Cassie and Diddy for so-called “freak-offs,” contracted a sexually transmitted infection, and fathered a pregnancy involving Cassie that ended in abortion.
Howard was among several escorts who reportedly cooperated with prosecutors during Diddy’s criminal case.
He also alleges both parties subjected him to sexual abuse, resulting in lasting physical and psychological harm.
Cassie disputes parts of his account.
Court filings claim Howard sent a supportive message to her husband, Alex Fine, in 2023 after she publicly accused Diddy of abuse.
In the message, he allegedly described witnessing violence and coercive behaviour during her relationship with Diddy and praised Fine for supporting her.
Cassie previously received a reported Sh2.5 billion ($20 million) settlement from Diddy after filing her lawsuit.
She also secured another settlement reportedly worth Sh1.29 billion (about $10 million) from the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City hotel over surveillance footage showing an assault incident.
