Nigerian music legend 2Baba and politician Natasha Osawaru are reportedly expecting their first child together, just days after the singer publicly announced his divorce from actress Annie Idibia.

The bombshell revelation was made by celebrity journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, who shared the news in a viral post.

According to her, 2Baba and Hon. Natasha, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, are deeply in love and planning to start a family.

"Singer Tuface Idibia and lover Hon. Natasha Igbinedion are pregnant. Tuface, the singer everyone is talking about, and Hon. Natasha Irobosa Igbinedion of the famous Igbinedion family of Benin Kingdom are in love and ready to begin their journey as a family," she wrote.

She further revealed that the African Queen hitmaker had confessed his love for Osawaru in a video on Tuesday, 12 February 2025, where he also expressed his intention to marry her.

In another video shared on Facebook, 2Baba is seen proposing to Natasha, showering her with money before sliding an engagement ring on her finger. Natasha said yes.

2Baba, real name Innocent Idibia, has been at the centre of media attention since confirming his split from Annie, his wife of over a decade.

Amid growing speculation that Osawaru played a role in the breakup, the singer strongly defended her.

"I have seen so many things, false narratives, and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff. Hon. Natasha has been dragged, called all sorts of names, and labelled a homewrecker. But she is a young, brilliant, amazing woman and had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie," 2Baba stated.

Despite the backlash, the music star stood firm in his decision: "Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her."

2Baba’s unexpected confession has sent shockwaves across social media, leaving fans divided. While some are excited about his new relationship, others have questioned how quickly he moved on.

His marriage to Annie, which began with a lavish Dubai wedding in 2013, had long been regarded as one of Nigeria’s most iconic celebrity unions.

The love story was further immortalised in his hit song African Queen, where Annie starred as his muse.

However, their relationship faced turbulence over the years, with cheating scandals, public disputes, and personal struggles making headlines.

The final straw remains unclear, but 2Baba confirmed their split in a now-deleted Instagram post, stating that they had been separated for some time and were finalising their divorce.

"No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace," he later reiterated in a video.

Adding to the drama, both 2Baba and Annie unfollowed each other on social media, solidifying speculation that their separation was permanent.

The entertainment industry has been abuzz with reactions, with many taking sides.

Young, Famous & African stars have largely rallied behind Annie, while media personality Toke Makinwa questioned the timing of 2Baba’s announcement.

"Nobody is asking anyone to stay in a situation that no longer serves them, but why bring this online now?" she asked.

Reality TV star Khanyi Mbau was even more direct, slamming the singer for making his personal issues public.

"Nothing makes me sick like a man who runs to social media when things go south in his relationship. @official2baba, disgusting! Annie does not walk alone," she wrote.

As social media remains divided, one thing is certain, 2Baba’s new romance with Natasha Osawaru is already one of the biggest celebrity stories of the year.
