Actor Michael B Jordan and model Lori Harvey have ended their romantic relationship after one and a half years.
According to a source who spoke to the PEOPLE, the couple is completely heartbroken but still love each other.
"Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken," the source told PEOPLE. "They still love each other."
The source said Michael' let his guard down' for the first time, adding that he was ready to commit and settle down with Lori.
"Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time, "said the source, adding, "They had great times together and brought out the best in each other."
Michael and Lori are yet to make an official statement concerning the breakup.
Lori and Jordan made their first Red Carpet debut after attending the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills on March 27.
However, the model appeared solo on the Red Carpet during the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, sparking the breakup rumours.
The pair, who gushed over each other on Instagram, celebrated their first anniversary in November, months after the actor announced their relationship that January.
The Black Panther actor told The Hollywood Reporter his relationship with Lori felt 'real enough' while explaining why he felt comfortable going public months after dating in secret.
"When I was younger, I don't know if I could have handled the onslaught of opinions and being picked apart, and also being conscious of what the other person's going to go through. It takes a special person to deal with that," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
"There's a premeditated planning of staying out of the way [of the public eye] that sometimes kills spontaneity and intimacy. I wanted to take that away and give this the best chance it had, in this weird world that we live in, to be somewhat normal. Long story short, I think it's just the timing of everything. It was the right time for me," Michael added.
Lori opened up about her relationship with Jordan on The Real in September, saying, "We just really balance each other."
"I really do believe in the statement when they say, 'When you know you know.' And I think that really applies to our situation and we just have a really good time together," said Lori, who is also the daughter of TV host Steve Harvey.
