After gaining overnight fame, thanks to her freestyle rap video that became a top trending story early this week, Kanambo now has celebrities calling for her attention.

Among the entertainment personalities who have sought to assist and work with her include popular deejay and producer Mavo on The Beat, comedian-cum-emcee Dr Ofweneke, Eric Omondi and King Kaka.

While Mavo on the Beat has offered to record her audio, Dr Ofweneke has pledged to pay for her music video. Through his recording stable, King Kaka will be working with Kanambo thanks to a deal they signed last Friday.

The 17-year-old stunned Netizens with her rapping skills in a video that went viral and thrusted her into the limelight.

“I am still shocked that my video went viral after I was filmed some days ago,” Kanambo told Standard Entertainment after we reached out last week.

She had been filmed around her working environment, a second-hand clothes stall in Kasarani where she had been employed. This is where she was discovered after friends from the ‘hood’ started exposing her to the media as a potential rapper.

The friends had been enjoying her rapping sessions during casual rapping battles in the hood.

When The Standard called last week, she said she had quit the job and decided to get serious with music. She however didn’t have the liberty to diverge more details as she referred us to her new manager, one Kasa Boss.

“She has been hustling by selling second-hand clothes in a stall in Kasarani area where her humble family lives.

“This is what she was doing for three months before we discovered her talent and offered her some opportunities,” said Kasa Boss, her new manager.

“She is 17 and still young and so she needs a lot of guidance as much as she is immensely talented”.
