Hours after he was reprimanded by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for airing his dirty linen in public, Mugithi singer Samidoh has responded, albeit in a veiled manner.
Speaking during a burial ceremony in Gatundu on January 23, 2023, DP Gachagua weighed in on the drama that ensued during Samidoh's recent trip to Dubai, where his wife Edday Nderitu and Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu almost came to blows.
Gachagua said the incident was embarrassing, considering Samidoh's status, and asked him to 'control his people'.
"Sasa wewe Samidoh wewe ni rafiki yangu na unajua vile tunakupenda? Si tunapenda huyu Samidoh na nyimbo zake?
"Lakini kuna mahali anatuangusha kidogo, sasa wewe Samidoh ucontrol hii watu yako," he said.
Adding: "There is no elephant that is not able to carry its tasks. What you do Samidoh, you travel alone so that we are not embarrassed in the diaspora. When you go and cause dramas there, they get used to us and we do not want our issues all over.
"If you cannot control that yet you are our officer, we will deny you a visa and discipline you."
Samidoh took to Instagram where he quoted Trade CS Moses Kuria: "Every angel has a past and every sinner has a future."
In December 2022, Karen Nyamu informed the public that she had ended her relationship with the Kairitu Gakwa singer and intended to handle things in a more honourable manner.
"Great and powerful women will attest that many times our weakest link is the men we get incloved with. I am stopping this pattern, "wrote Nyamu.
Speaking on the Dubai incident, Nyamu said she had no regrets about how things panned out but promised never to be involved in such a situation.
"I know I could have called him and ended it quietly but I decided to make this as public as the drama and controversy has been," wrote Nyamu.
"I am a good woman, a good person. I'm not the woman the bouncers ordered to throw out of the stage, "said Nyamu, adding, "I don't love drama and I don't wreck homes. I am however still open to finding a great co-wife in future."
