Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz's elder sister, Esma Platnumz's health appears to be improving after spending the weekend in hospital receiving treatment. Contrary to the previous posts shared on Esma's Instagram page that showed her helplessly lying on a hospital bed getting a blood transfusion, the mother of two now seems to be doing much better and can even sit up.
Keeping her fans updated on her condition through her social media, the Tanzanian businesswoman shared a video of herself sitting up and smelling flowers that had been delivered to her as a get well gift. Esma's hospital admission comes a few days after being ill and unable to join her brother and mother in hosting her niece and nephew, Princess Tiffah and Nillan. They flew into the country to spend time with their father's side of the family.
Divorce
Around the same time, Esma surprised many with news of her divorce from husband Maulid Msizwa, three months after tying the knot. Opening up on details of their split during an interview with Wasafi TV, Esma stated that her husband's sudden addiction to social media contributed to her decision to end her marriage.

"When I started dating Msizwa, he was not a social media person. I think he was just acting because when we'd take pictures, he would refuse and stay aside. I wanted a gentleman, who is not into photos and social media. When we got married, we started quarrelling because he was too much into Instagram. Imagine when we were dating, he wasn't an Instagram person. He started changing. I would wake up at 5am and find him on Instagram," she said.
Responding to Esma's claims, Msizwa refuted being separated from his wife and his supposed addiction to social media. Speaking during a separate interview with Wasafi TV, Msizwa explained that although he and Esma were apart, they were still married and that he was not addicted to social media as his wife purported.
"I have married her; she didn't marry me. I have my own decisions. It means I am the man in this marriage. Nimeoa, sijaolewa. I can never submit to a woman. I have not divorced her; the decision should be mine... No, it's not true. I am not into social media. These things she is talking about are not true. I started using Instagram a very long time, you use it like any other app. She is, probably, just jealous. It is not true; why would I do that? I think she is just jealous because we are apart. I think there are people who want us to separate and she is listening to them."

According to Esma platnumz's ex-husband Hemed Manungwi alias Petit Man, no other man can handle Esma's stubbornness except him despite being married to someone else.
"I am certain that no other man can live with Esma, aside from me. No other man can endure her pride and arrogance," said Petit Man in a previous interview.
