Anita Nderu was accused of promoting homosexuality in the latest episode of her cooking show, Overdressed Cook.

Anita Nderu found herself on the receiving end after hosting two gays in the latest episode of her Overdressed Cook YouTube show.

In the 18+ rated episode shared on her IGTV, Anita and her two hosts; Victor Maish and Romeo the Bossy are seen whipping up an eggs recipe.

It was not long before keyboard warriors pounced on the TV presenter and a cooking oil company whose product appeared on the show for allegedly promoting homosexuality.

“I'm not against whatever content you decide to share with your fans but this made me cringe. I am pro - LBGTQ and for that fact, I feel some type of way by any form of hypersexualization of this community. I get your whole angle here and while your guests don't mind, I speak for the larger queer community that is constantly being objectified and fetishized by heterosexuals. Affirming people's sexualities doesn't have to take this form. I could be wrong but it's obviously my opinion,” wrote one.

In response, an unapologetic Anita explained that she supports the LGBTQ community and that every human deserves to be loved.

“I will never be bullied into silence. As human beings, we have the right to refuse to be defined by what other people think rather we must define ourselves. As people, we should celebrate our differences, encourage authenticity and wonder at the diversity of humanity. We all have a right to love and be loved however and whenever,” she wrote.

I had the most fun shooting this episode???????‍???? I hope you did too?? Also, I will never be bullied into silence. We all have a right to love and be loved however & whenever. #Propride #ProLGBTQ I have been told I have to address why I am being fried on Twitter???? This is to categorically say no brand of any kind was involved in this particular video, why they are under fire now after innocently featuring in other videos is a puzzle. We are in no way associated. It is merely a coincidence as per usual with our show we have all types of brands present unless stated otherwise. I have been told not to say * phone is grabbed * ???? anyway the team knows that part???? Glam: Make-up @color_bysamantha Hair @lilyhairline Gown @2nuboutique ???? @moonsun_pictures

Anita Nderu.

Shifting her sentiments to twitter where she was already trending, Anita posted a thread in an attempt to clear Fresh Fri of any association with her show, while maintaining her previous thoughts on LGBTQ.

“1. The brand under fire was and is in no way involved with The #OverdressedCook, it was just a coincidence it happened to be what we were using in the kitchen as has been with all other episodes.

2. I will never be bullied into silence.  As human beings, we have the right to refuse to be defined by what other people think rather we must define ourselves.

In a statement published on Fresh Fri’s official twitter page, the company distanced itself the TV host. They, however, thanked Anita for choosing Fresh Fri cooking oil.

“Fresh Fri would like to state that we have not engaged Anita Nderu for product placement or any other advertising of any kind. However, we would like to thank her for being a Fresh Fri consumer. Fresh Fri is keen on delivering quality products that promote #HealthyLiving,” the company wrote.
