Tik-Tok sensation turned actress Azziad Nasenya is making major moves since her introductory Utawezana video that went viral across the country.
The 19-year-old communication student at Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) has landed an acting role in popular drama series Selina.
Welcoming her to the cast of the Swahili telenovela that airs on Maisha Magic East, actor Pascal Tokodi shared a photo with the fast raising star on his Instagram page.
“Welcome to the family Azz,” wrote Pascal, who plays Nelson in the TV show. In a separate post, Azziad could also not her excitement in making the debut...

The message was received well by her dazzled fans, who through the hashtag #AzziadOnSelina marvelled at how fast she is growing since her break-through.
“Hii life ni kujiamini tu! Niko sure it has not been easy for Azziad lakini she never gave up! Sahi sasa efforts zake zimefanya afike pale Selina! Mazee, always believe in yourself. Always believe you can,” a tweeter user identified as @ThisIsMboya observed.
“This is so amazing and very advocating for the young generation to be vigilant on their talents and work on the passion they have. Keep it up Azziad,” Hillary Odiaga noted.
However, a few who were not really impressed by her moves and attracted the attention of celebrated actress Catherine Kamau, popularly known as Kate the Actress, who came to Azziad’s defence.

In her post, Kate urged the naysayers to keep it to themselves if they cannot support Azziad whom she said has worked hard all her life to be where she is at the moment.
“Hii app inaweza pea mtu depression, you just wake up to hate on a girl that has worked so hard for her spotlight, Azziad Nasenya has been on stage all her school life, the universe has finally conspired in her favour, shut up and wait for yours #AzziadOnSelina,” the mother of two tweeted.
Azziad was weeks ago the talk in town following the release of a collaborative project with controversial gospel artist Alex Apoko alias Ringtone dubbed Zoea Mawe.

To promote the single, Ringtone took to social media to “introduce” Azziad as his wife which left most and shared some rather interesting photos of himself with the Tik-Tok queen which blew up the internet, especially after Azziad instigated it further that she was ‘pregnant’.
