‘Lean Back’ hitmaker Fat Joe is coming to your television screen very soon.
According to Page Six, the South Bronx Rapper is reportedly developing a pilot for a sitcom titled “Mi Nuevo Barrio”.
Page Six reports that if the project succeeds, Joseph Antonio Cartagena alias Fat Joe, will play the leading character on the TV show.
He will also double up as the sitcom's executive producer.
The series is about a Puerto Rican mechanic from South Bronx who moves with his family to New Jersey after acquiring the money to facilitate the move.
The sitcom will show the family struggle fitting in with the neighbours in the rich estate.
Fat Joe is no stranger to the film industry as he has previously starred in ‘Night School’ and appeared on ‘She Gotta Have It’- a Netflix series.
Besides his TV project, Fat Joe is buzzing about his long-awaited album ‘Family Ties’ which is scheduled to drop anytime soon.
His recent collaboration with Cardi B titled ‘Yes’ garnered over 25 Million views in under a week.
