The widow of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore has made her first public address since the passing of her husband on Monday, July 1, after a long battle with Acute Myloid Leukemia (AML).

Taking to twitter, Wambui Kamiru Collymore thanked everyone for their overwhelming support during the passing of Bob.

“I am overwhelmed by all the love and beautiful messages I have been receiving from you all here. It is a true testament to the character of the special man I was lucky to love. I can’t respond to all your messages but know that I have read and received your warmth. Thank you,” she wrote.

The late Bob Collymore’s body was cremated the following day, Tuesday 2, at the Kariokor Hindu Crematorium amid tight security.
