Popular Churchill show comedian MC Jessy has taken to social media to apologize over a viral video extracted from Churchill Show episode which appeared to ridicule an elderly man who was part of the audience.

In the video, the comedian was advising women to find the rare and the ugliest men so as to be free from the hustle and bustle of combating 'husband snatchers.'

Trouble began when the video zoomed in and locked on a man who was in the show, which many interpreted to imply he was among the 'unattractive' men in the joke.

In the instance, the man who appears uncomfortable tries over and again to conceal his face in vain.

Kenyans attacked the comedian claiming that the joke was distasteful and demanding that Jessy apologizes to the elderly man and his family.

Admitting that he takes full responsibility of the failed joke, MC Jessy took to social media to apologize.

"On behalf of the cameraman, producer, Churchill Show family and I, We want to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to Mzee Achoka, his family and Kenyans in general.”

"I don't have any excuses. I take full responsibility for the production of this episode that might have gone in bad taste. I'm really sorry it happened. In future, I promise it won’t happen again," he wrote on his Instagram page.
