‘Gone too soon’ are the words that continue to replay in the minds of many especially those who were huge fans of the duo Shavey and Slice.

But after the passing of Elishifa Kyalo aka Shavey after he was run over by a matatu plying the 1960 Kayole route, his family is appealing to well-wishers to help them raise funds to cater for his burial.

They have put out a paybill number seeking assistance after the dancehall singer succumbed to his injuries while being rushed St Patricks Health Center, Kayole.

Before he met his death, Shavey hit a rough patch after music failed to propel him to greater heights. He died a tout despite pelting out a mega tune that made waves across the continent to Jamaica, the birthplace of dancehall.

Shavey was once arrested by a local chief in Kayole after breaking into a butchery to steal meat.
