The results of the Homa Bay County gubernatorial elections have been nullified.
This is after a successful petition the immediate former Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga.
The former MP challenged Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti's re-election stating that IEBC officials who manned the General election deprived him of victory which he deserved.
Earlier in January, a vote recount showed that there was no mix up in the tally.
This becomes the first successful gubernatorial court petition against a sitting Governor after the High Court in Machakos threw out the petition against Governor Alfred Mutua.
