Those who saw them enter Domino’s, an eatery on Koinange Street, said that they came together but sat on different seats.

The three women waited patiently for a long time to be served their food. Next to them was a group of tourists enjoying their meal.  According to witnesses (CCTV included), the smartly dressed women swung into action after one of the tourists dropped her bag as she was about to pay. One of them allegedly stepped on the bag and started dragging it towards the door, where the other two had positioned themselves.

But unknown to them, the staff at the eatery had suspected that the three were up to no good and alerted guards who arrested them. Soon police rushed in and took over, ignoring the tourists’ pleas that they be released.
