It is emerging that Mombasa artistes are set to benefit from recording equipment that has been sourced by the county government from overseas. According to an artiste privy of the deal, the government is set to put up a recording studio besides fully funding artistes from the region.
"We (artistes) will not be paying anything to record at the studios and the county government is also planning to fully fund video shoots in this financial year," said Amoury Beyby, a Coast-based artiste.
"The move will mean we have no excuse not to eat from our talent and I urge all artistes to take advantage of the proposed plans," he added.
