The Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) has refuted claims that it has been defrauded of Sh27 million.

In a statement mailed to MondayBlues, MCSK Chairman Bernard Mukaisi said the society had not been supplied with any facts to support a charge that has been made in connection with the matter.

“We have not been supplied with any facts to support this charge and are unaware of this. We wish to assure our members that we have not been defrauded of, or lost Sh27 million,” he stated. The chairman further clarified that allegations that have been made in connection with the MCSK CEO and a former director allegedly stealing cash from the society are unfounded.

“For those interested in the truth, you will find the evidence against the above charges posted on our website, www.mcsk.or.ke,” the statement added.
